Need a reason to show off my PCs after the recent round of upgrades. So post away

Main gaming PC - i7 920 @ 4GHz, 3x GTX260

File server and secondary gaming PC - i7 920 @ 3.6GHz, 2x GTX260, 9800GT

Top: E8400@4GHz, 2x GTX260, Bottom: [email protected], 2x GTX260

Q9550@4GHz, 2x 9800GX2

Phenom II 940 @ 3.6GHz, 3x GTX260, 9800GT

The whole gang. My old laptop on the deep freezer

E5200@stock, GTX295, 9800GT, 8800GT (temp - replaced when my GTX295 comes back from RMA)

HTPC: E5200 @ 3.6GHz, 9800GT

Thats a rockin' farm there Snowman. Keep up the amazing folding job you've been doing.

I've been hoping to post of some pics of my farm as well. Got a new rig coming online soon so I think I'll get up some pics then.

1st is my gaming rig. Kinda dated and not used much now.


Extra fan to keep the GPU temps down while folding.

2nd is my HTPC rig


I made a custom piece to cover where the lower HD bay would be. Gives me a place to hide wires and I think it makes it look a little nicer.





About 8-10k PPD total.

Gaming/Folding rig: really due for an upgrade, but got my first baby on the way... Next upgrade is case... looking at the Antec Two Hundred


MacBook Pro(top), and my workstation/office(bottom)



Not much, hovering around 3.3k PPD with part time folding from my main rig, Macbook Pro is idle, but still trying to figure out the best way to run it. Currently thinking about a 2 VM (virtualbox) Linux each with a single threaded running.

sneakysnowman: Are the fan mounts on that CPU heatsink stuck with adhesive, or what? I've got a bunch of those rubber mounts, but I haven't figured out how to use them for anything other than case fans.

On the Xigmatek HTD-S1284 comes with special rubber mounts that attach to the heatsink

The fan is held down by wire clips. The rubbery things are for spacing and absorbing fan vibration

Dust Magnet

Upon closer inspection, it would appear the box fan not only forces tons of CFM through my case, but tons of dust as well. I will bust out the computer vac ASAP. Also, my case is far too small for all the cables and has no 2.5" bays for my SSDs. They get to dangle precariously outside of the case. The cable management Gods are not please I'm sure.







@sneakysnowman: As unimaginable as it may seem, I will be able to make a second HD4870 fit in that mess. This bigger case may help:
