I'm doing some research for a friend. He wants to upgrade his cpu. The Dell site says this has a 440BX AGP chipset with a SECCII cpu. No mb maker details. I have looked up abit boards that use this same chipset and all but the BE6II V2.0 stop at 700Mhz. The BE6II goes to 1G. Anyone have knowledge of this mocel Dell or know where I can get more info? TIA

I would imagine that it could physically handle any processor with 100 fsb,, the highest out is the 1.1Ghz Fcpga, this would work with the powerleap adapter. I just upgraded my dell 410 from dual 500/512/100 secc2 to dual 1000/256/100 secc2. Runs great
however the only issue in your case would be the BIOS. does the latest BIOS support the higher end P3 processors? I'm not sure, you may be able to find out by sifting through the dell talk forums. going off the subject...I want to get my hands on a turbo PLL, this is the only way I'll probably be able to overclock....:p
hope that info helps
