Whoever gave me the advice that the lag was due to the card polling the card temp was right. As soon as I disabled ATI TRAY and HW MONITOR all my problems went away! THANK YOU!

I noticed the same thing with GPU-z temperature monitoring. I had random pauses while I was running 3dmark06 and once GPUZ was off, it all went away.

If some of you remember, this used to be an issue with the 1900XT series as well. We had to disable the same to get the cards to quit stuttering.
