thx

If you are not doing SLI then absolutely get a P35

most of them are good look into the
GA-P35-DS3R $130
Abit IP35 $ dunno but should be close to $150

so if im not using sli which i wont be,then p35 is the way to go huh?also i need good raid options as i use raid at all times..i really like that p35 msi i have never really played with the gigabyte's but if so it would be this one

the DS3P is basically the same board as the DS3R except it has 2 x16 PCIe if you want to do Crossfire which seems like you dont since you dont want SLI.

it also has the bigger better chipst cooler.. i really like that msi board tho..

i highly suggest looking at gigabytes P35-DS3R/P35-S3L/P35-DS3 and Abits IP35. the gigboards run roughly from 94-129, the abit one is 149 if i recall correctly.

If you just planning on a single video card stick with the P35. If going SLI for under 150 then you need to look at the NV650i or find a used NV680I board.

Forsaken1 those temps you got there are... well very cold! what are you using???

Appears not to many programs work correctly with G0 revsion cpu.On water cooling with 80F ambient,it is impossible to have those temps.

@mudd
well i have the IP35-Pro and dont have this issue. i havent read about this double reboot issue with either of the ip35's in the lower segment on XS. the lat time there was a double reboot issue i knew of it was the abit AB9/Pro boards.

my board does the dual reboot and it only occurs on cold boots, seriously I dont understand why people complain so much about this, it is ridiculous and a lot of Intel chip boards do it. It is not a "new" issue or such an issue for that matter.

Take newegg results like a grain of salt,

To be honest MSI boards aren't always the best,

Like the others the IP35 abit and the Gigabytes P35 series are all good

I agree about the MSI board comment. I had a MSI board with my Opteron and it was the biggest piece of junk. It wouldn't overclock worth a damn.

My brother is telling me that the reason some board oc better than other is because of 6 layer pcb vs less. Is this true?
if it was true the intel 975x badaxe motherboard would be the best 975x ocing mobo. The abit aw9d-max it the best 975x ocing mobo out there and has less layer then the intel badaxe.
