TOTAL COST = $293 SHIPPED

i will pick up some 1/2'' worm drive clamps, distilled water, and sealant tape once everything arrives.

i would like to thank all those that have responded to my many threads of questions. i would also like to thank those that wrote the stickies, i used alot of that info in deciding which parts to buy and why. i started out knowing close to nothing about water cooling and now i have learned alot b/c the oc forums community has been very helpful. i'll try to get a camera to post some pictures when everything's finished. opinions about part choices would be appreciated.

also, i need to know some little stuff now.
-how often should the system be bled and refilled?
-what do i need to know when doing it?
-how do i make sure all the air is out of the system?
please add more info that i need to know that i haven't mentioned.

25ft!?!?! don't you think thats a bit much? well atleast you will have plenty for the next bleed

Lol,

For that size tubing 7/16" ID-5/8" OD the smallest quantity you can order is 25feet. On the flip side at $13 delivered (in the US approximately) or $0.37/ft its not a bad deal. Plenty left over for at least 1-2 more W/Cing setups as well

I usually order my tubing in big chunks too. Nothing wrong with having some extra tubing laying around.

I've read that that particular res leaks. This one looks better.

ya it may look better, but i'd rather sacrifice cosmetics for relaiability. how could a one piece res could leak? i'd rather have something that doesn't leak then have water fry all my parts.

I meant it rhetorically... not literally 'looks' better (although it does). That one is probably safer than the one you purchased, i've read some complaints that the reservoir you have leaks, and everybody had to tape it up alot. It's somewhere on these forums, if I find a link i'll post it.

I had that Swiftech res, and the only way it could possible leak is to tighten down the barbs too much and crack where they screw into. I would recommend using some clamps on where the barbs screw in and using some plumber's goop on the fittings. If you do that, you won't have any leaks. I would use the one piece Swiftech res over an acrylic glued-together res for a bayres any day.

that was exaclty my thinking, i'd rather go with a one piece res then one that is pieced together. i will use some sealant tape on the threads to make sure everything is sealed at all connection points, with clamps too.
