just wondering if anyone has a guide or something, when I go to college I need to be able to set accounts at this place I work out, this one router has a VPN, the other network dosn't. so....

1) a guide on what all the stuff means

2) if possible, how to VPN onto the one network that dosn't have a VPN on the router

3) any concerns I should watch for?

These are better guides:

For Windows 2003 Server VPN configurations with both IPSEC/L2TP, and PPTP.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windowsserver2003/technologies/networking/rmotevpn.mspx

Under XP using only PPTP not L2TP as with IPSEC: (XP as the VPN server instead of Win2003 Server)

Here is another one with XP as VPN server but with only PPTP
