my monitor won't conect, uncompatible cords

I have a monitor with a male 15 and a male 9 pin on my computer and i can't find a conecter to adapt them together

I have a generic monitor and a MSI kt3v if that helps any

You need to get a video card, if you don't already have one. That motherboard does not come with on-board video.

You may be confusing the peripheral ports (small serial ports) with a monitor port... The 9-pins you describe are usually used for joysticks and pads for computer gaming (among other things), but never display anything.

yeah... its not the monitor plug you're lookin at.

pc: dell P4 1.8 with 512 megs of PC133, not even an AGP slot in it. 32 meg TNT2 pwnin it up.
ride: 82 k10, 31's on 3 inch susp. lift, SBC 400, TH350, NP208, 3.09 gears. quadrajet to an edelbrock intake, 0.030" milled off the heads, headers to glasspackeds, its loud and gets <10 MPG. take that, Gore.
