Weird monitor problem

whenever I start my windows from cold boot

my monitor screen will show a bit to the left ... it will then slowly "creeping" its way to the normal setting i set it to

its kind of annoying cause I dont know what is wrong with it

do you think it is the bios that cause the problem?

Everytime I feel the monitor need to warm up before i can use it

new 17" samsung flat crt

and the new driver is 43.45 for my ti4200

It happens when I use 41.09 and when i install this new driver it is still the same

I've upgraded my gpu bios so I think maybe it is something wrong with it but I cant really find an old version of the BIOS!

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

As long as it displays properly once into windows I think you're better off living with it... I've dealt with plenty of weirdo issues in my time and have subsequently driven myself nuts over them

When you say from a cold boot, is the monitor warmed up or has it been off for awhile. because I am thinking it might be the monitor warming up. if the monitor is already warm when this happens, you can disregard the earlier comment

I can see the insanity settling over you at this very moment.

I had a viewsonic p225f 22" CRT, it did the same thing... couldn't figure it out, I just ignored it. When I first got it i drove myself crazy settin it to the right, then it would creep over, and i'd set it back, just leave it. it only takes 2-3 minutes anyway, and its not like its a couple of inches...
