I think your format was spot on. My only idea/suggestion is for interviews with some of the top performers from the various Teams we have here in the OCF. I'm sure this is nothing you have not thought of, but I figured I would post it up so you know someone actually wants to hear it. I'd also like to hear an interview with some of the more extreme mad scientists with extreme cooling.

I think it would be a great idea to do a live show once a month, maybe the last show of the month. That way we could IM, or Skype in and get involved. Might be a good way to cap off the months news and events covering anything you may have missed with the previous shows.

EDIT: I was just thinking about the above statemet... guess it won't make as much sense as you are only doing these every other week. Tha means you would be going live almost every other show. That may be a little too ofter for you.

I've got a thread in the extreme cooling section for this per your request.

Thanks!

I've been looking into how a live show would work, and the first ingredient for a successful live podcast is.... a large audience!

Tell all of your OCF and non OCF friends about the podcast, and lets work towards a live show.

Jordan

Doesn't iTunes have a whole download section for podcasts only?

How can we get our podcast onto their weekly/monthly collection?

I think if you want the podcast to be successful you need to collect news not only from OCF community, but other overclocking communities as well.

Does XS have one? What about [H]?

We are currently listed in iTunes... the more people that subscribe to our podcast using iTunes... the sooner we get on the charts!

How about trying for some interviews of well-known XS people? I know that many of the phase changers over there and prolly other people are fairly well known here (like Chilly1, but he's prolly extremely busy as it is).

We are looking at getting some more interviews as well as some audio reviews. If you have anyone specific in mind, be sure to refer them to us or let us know who they are.

I think a live podcast would be an excelent idea.

Also one on tools and simple how to's would be cool.

+1 for modding tools

Could get some people up and about.

e.g. dremels and why they are awesome / what you can use them for

The entry fee for an interview is very steep.

Hey, do one on alternative OSs; compare the benefits of some of the main distros
Top 20 on distrowatch
PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu, openSUSE, Fedora, Sabayon, Mint, Debian, Mandriva, MEPIS, Damn Small, CentOS, Slackware, Puppy, FreeBSD, Gentoo, Zenwalk, Kubuntu, Arch, KNOPPIX, Freespire
Look at which are good for not hogging resources, monitoring temps, as HTPC, working with windows (like on a network), running FAH/BOINC, support, etc. (don't ask me I'm new but interested)

Since you did a podcast on Folding@Home, Why not a podcast on SETI/BOINC.

personally, i'm more interested in SETI, but the entire BOINC community is very interesting as well, and has MANY projects other than SETI that people can get into.

And with the SETI organization ( ran by berkeley ) starting to bring in new data again, They will be needing more people participating in the SETI project to help crunch all this new data.

Just an idea ( and an obvious, and shameless plug for my favorite Distributed Computing project )

This is a good point.... I'll post something in the SETI section.... see if I can get any of the leaders to appear on the podcast.
