Duke nukem would be a good one. But every few years something like that trailer pops up and means nothing so don't count on it

So do a segment on how we have been getting led on, not just by them but other devs. Companies announcing the next big thing that never comes. Could make for a good topic.

At the risk of being stoned to death, how about doing a bit on people who have switched from Windows to OS X, why and what their thoughts are on the experience? You could even do something similar with Linux users. I've seen a lot of people jumping ship from Windows lately onto both OS X and Linux. Personally, I LOVE the OS X experience and loathed and detested my time with Linux while I've heard a couple of people say they didn't like OS X (very few) so there should be people from both sides of the spectrum.

You're a man after my own heart... I'd love to do this... I just appeared on a Mac podcast (I'm an apple fanboy at heart)... I might do something macish or linuxy one of these days.

Ok so it looks like Intel is in trouble about because they stole some more Intellectual Property to build their beloved C2D: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/dis...ringement.html

This really deserves some discussion and is VERY important to the Overclocking world. If the C2D gets banned and taken off the market, we're ALL screwed (Phenom only OC'ing?). Hoard them while you can and sell them on eBay or the black market for a high premium! Seriously though, the article also points out how Intel did this to Transmeta and LOST the lawsuit in 2007. This thing could really snowball and hit Intel in the face...

Some off topic stuff would add to the feel of the podcast, like rants or something

- places to get royalty free, non DRM music + experiences
- multiple folks in the podcast, Maximum PC has 3 or 4 folks that skype in i think
- trivia?

Memory

how about a podcast with a segment on Mem times vs Freq.
i've always wanted to know more about the pros and cons... ie higher overall CPU/system clock vs lower lac. times.

I really think the podcasts should be geared more toward the happenings on our forums. Its good that we have segments that include other internet sites and people, but I'd like to see some more focus on OCF. Theres a lot of distributed computing (F@H/Seti/BOINC), case modding, overclocking/volt modding, and other software and hardware things going on right here on these forums. We have a lot of talent here and we should get to hear more from them.

We are working on that, however it is hard for me and Jordan to just find these people and topics. It would be great if members would contact us suggesting someone to interview or a specific topic. When we get requests like that we are usually able to make them happen. So please make specific suggestions and pass the word on to other members who might have ideas.

Good idea and we'll keep that in mind.

Oh yes, I guess I really should have posted some dang IDEAS! I'm sorry my bad. I'll definitely help you out with that part. Also I like that you're making the podcast diverse in subjects. It keeps it fresh. I was just trying to say that we need a segment that includes OCF specific topics. You guys really are doing a badass job with the podcast and I love just sitting up and listening to them.

Hey folks...Please please please...you simply must interview the guys who just participated in the Giga-byte overclocking event. OCF just took first and second place in a USA wide open event and now Ross gets to go onto the world competition in Taipei Taiwan (in september)

I just got back from a week off the grid - just saw this post - and will TOTALLY get on this - I'll try and interview the folks for the next episode (this Saturday).

Thanks for the headsup.

Possibly an interview with someone from VooDoo PCs to talk about their new Envy laptop and Omen Desktop. I would really like to hear what they have to say about the development of the Envy.

And done.

SN...great idea. I just want to clarify ... I was not benching at the GOOC event, I went as a spectator to support our guys and to make contacts with industry folks.

The event was definitely spectacular. Deanzo, Ross and Maxi did outstanding, everyone invloved with OCForums should be very proud of what these individuals have done for the forum. Once again they have brought the spotlight to our little corner of the world wide web.... Big Name folks are more aware of OCForums and the quality of people we have here, a big part of that awareness is a result of these guys flexing their benching muscles.....

I along with Dawgdoc and Sno.lcn will be at Tom's Hardware event in November representing OCForums.....Miahallen will also be benching at this event, only he has to play for another team. Other members of OCF are considering showing up as supporters and spectators...........
