Liero is on my list of most adictive games of all time. Aside from being a great standalone game with 2Player capability on the same computer (and it works!) and a built in map editor, it has many tools for download on the internet such as wepon editors and game moding devices. Wepon modding is incredibly easy and even the more basic computer users can make there own designs. Some fun ones to try to make inlude: Light saber, personal shield, nuklear cruise missle (maybe some game balace issues), and even a jetpack. The game is often compared to worms, as your character is a worm and viewed from the 2D, but you can move anywhere around the map and the game is NOT turn based, rather very fast paced areana style action. (give it a 10min learning curve on the controlls). Note: To play this game you need to be able to look past the graphics, rather focus on the amazing gameplay.

Get liero now!:
---- edit ---- make note, the original is soooo much better

FINNISH FREEWARE STRIKES AGAIN!
This is a sweet little game, especially when you pump up the health and lower the reload times. Think of it as realtime Worms.

hehe my brother introduced me to this game a couple of days ago. Like an old worms copy :)

There are some really bada$$ guns in this game, what's the name of that gun that makes you fly across the screen once you shoot? hehe

yes, original liero has problems with some xp systems even with /n in the commmand line (to turn off sound) but I believe the new wannabe remake will work : )
