Ok... I had collected those links over a several month period and then didn't check them when I posted. I'll edit the list when I get some extra time.

they arent dead, the forum b0rked them, the forum shortend the adresses, check em out, thats why they dont work...

Ok kids, all links are repaired as of September 27, 2003. I also added some IC7 Max 3 stuff too. Enjoy!

EDIT: Thanks to Mr. B, we got the title changed to include the IC7-Max 3.

I've had a pretty bad string of luck and don't want to solder a board for a while and since the vmod can't be done with SMD grabbers alone, what kind of performance am I missing out on. It doesn't seem like going up .3 volts is going to yield much performance, but I really have no clue.

I'm with you Noob, I decided against trusting my soldering skills to gain a marginal increase. This vmem mod is for the true fanatics willing to do anything to push the max limits. With the right RAM, you won't need more than 2.8v in most circumstances. I too wish this could be done with "grabbers".

I added some links about the northbridge heatsinks falling off and how to repair it.

And thanks to you (in part), I've decided to get an IC7... :D

about how much higher does the max3 read temps of the cpu then what they really are? I have my 3.0ghz running watercooled but when watching the temps I run a program and it jumps 3 - 4 degrees celcius when the program is loading. Also its saying the CPU is 50C when the water is cool to touch. Its not a contact prob. Im just wondering an average. anyone?

Thanks Catch22, I added it.

Clifton, I'm not sure anyone really knows how much the temps are off. Think it depends on the individual mobo. I think mine only reads maybe 3 or 4 degrees high. Others claim 10 degrees or more. Maybe other mobos read low?

OK a bump so more people can see this important thread ;) :D
Oh and don't forget to volt mod the F out of the mobo. I got mushyL2black pc3200 and corsairpc3500v1.1 and hyperxpc3000 all running between 258-260 cas2-5-2-2 turbo cpc enables etc etc. There are a few links that probably need to be added. Someone really needs to find a Vagp volt mod link. I got one but i don't like it. But i may do it and if i like the results i think i'll provide the link here. I'm just hoping someone knows a better Vagp mod. Ta dudes. :)

help for newbie

I am amidst my first pc build and oc experiuence. I have an ic7-max 3 and a p4 2.6 w 450 antec ps. After alot of reading and studying I have begun to overclock my first build. I told I did a good job of choosing my componets. I have stock heatsink and fan. I have slowly cranked the fsb to 235 for a clock of 3055. My cpu is 42c at idle and I have yet to run into any glitches. I am hesitant to push further but this seems a little to easy for my first time from what Ive read about these chips. Am I missing something or did I get lucky w/ my cpu? Thanks for any advice I could get!! I look forward to my upcoming oc experience!!
