wow, that's awesome. thanks for compiliing that list! i wish i had that when i was looking for my graphics card...

something seems a little *sticky* about this, hint, hint :D

I think a GeForce3 Ti200 beats a Radeon 9000Pro in raw performance as well...

You might want to include GeForce4 MX's... on second thoughts scrap that :D

I think the 9500Pro should move up 2 spots in the AA/AF list, it really outperforms the ti4600, almost doubles it in a lot of cases. I think its better then a paralia but I havent seen many paralia benches. here and here you can see that the 9500Pro really beats out the ti4600 with AA/AF on.

[subliminal message]sticky sticky sticky[/subliminal message]

if possible you should also add the 128MB versions if they exist. that's the decision a lot of people have to make. take me for example, i have to decide between a 8500LE 128MB and a TI4200 64MB.

I second the addition of GeForce4 MXs. It would be great to print out for my friend who dosen't understand that they're slow. ;)

There is no way a Radeon 9000 pro beats any of the Geforce 3's, the Radeon 8500 and G3's are neck in neck, and the 9000 is a pretty big step down from the 8500.

The 9000pro is overated. You should see Tom's test of it, its a total joke from talking to people who actually own the card. Tom rated it higher than all the Geforce 4's in AA/AF his test showd it got like 20 more FPS in UT2k3, which is laughable, I dont know what card Tom had.

All the other reviews show it totally blowing.

EDIT>That link has the 9000pro in a better spot, right below the ti200, just like i was saying.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Basing assumptions on THG Reviews? :D:D;)

But yeah, the 9500 Pro should be moved up.

:D

lol...its already been done....i had posted a list here a long time ago but couldnt get a sticky my thread has found its home at oc3dmark site :)

yeah i think toms hardware is a total joke.
and check the anandtech review for the 9500 pro final, it is above the 4400 and the very slightest bit below the 4600

I dissagree, the 9000 should be right below the 8500. My 9000, as crapy as I think it is, is just below every 8500 ive come across.

I gave 2 links the first was to Tom's, the second is to Anand's... the same review you posted.

BTW if you want to bash Tom for something check out this thread.... radeon 9000 better then gf4 4600... :sn:

Is this opinionated? I did my best not to make it so...

I'll try to note wether or not the card comes with 64/128/256mb versions but from what i have seen the difference is negligable between 64/128mb (only one card has a 256mb option the pharalia right now but the 9700pro and mythical and elusive GeForceFX should change that...)

now if i were buying a card that had an option of 64/128mb I would definitely get the 128mb version because future games will have much bigger textures...

I'll probably do the price list this weekend cause' its the second to last week of school...

please go easy on me this is my first attempt at a guide here on the forums I know it has been done before and is available on other sites in fact I would encourage people to seek out these lists and post the links here so i can add them to the list because nobody should go on what I (or any other person) says without researching it first... everybody is opinionated even me...

I think this would be nice to have as a sticky because it would help new users (and existing ones) spend more time asking what brand of card to get rather than what performs better....

Any other cards that should be on this list???? please only post DirectX 7+ cards that support hardware texture and lighting... Most games out nowadays require at least that....
