Did you get your settings right in the BIOS yet? if not here is a OCing calculator that helps put things in the clear for me : http://icrontic.com/downloads/nehale...ing-calculator

I think when you start your settings in the BIOS be sure to turn off Turbo mode and HT (Hyper Threading) and if you’re going to manually make changes here is what the calculations should look like: *note* this would OC it to 3GHz

[Bclock: 200] [CPU Multi: 15] [QPI Multi: 18] [Uncore Multi: 20] [Mem Multi: 10]

[CPU clock: 3000] [QPI clock: 3600] [Uncore clock: 4000] [Mem clock: DDR3-2000]

BIOS Tweak:
AI Tweaker = manual
BCLK = 200
CPU Ratio = 15 (15x200 = 3000)
DRAM Frequency = DDR3-2000 (Memory multiplier 10)
Uncore = DDR3 4000Mhz or [auto] (uncore multiplier 20)
QPI = 3600Mhz (QPI multiplier 15) or [auto]

This is what it should look like for your system bios config. Someone please let me know if something needs to be added or changed, I have not yet did any OC but this is what I have researched so far.

Just the ram, cant get it stable over 1600 even though it suposed to run at 2000mhz with the built in profile. The rest is running good mate.

UPDATE: got to the bottom of the memory problem after speaking to a teck guy(SCAN) where I got my ram from, he claims the problems were down to:

Had dual ram when my board works better on 3 sticks not 2

My board has a known issue with 1800/2000mhs memory.

The nice chap RMAed my memory and swapped it for 6 gigs of 1600mhz dominator with change to spare from the original 2000mhz dominator (4 gigs).

Should arrive tomorrow, I know it’s a compromise but nothing else I could do.

It was kinda weird when I saw you only have 2 sticks, but yea your right our board works with tri channel memory, if you notice the color on the mem slots dont worry about 2000Mhz 1600Mhz is just as good, if your going to do mostly gaming your performace would be mainly the CPU and GPU, for my build I am going to do cross fire with 2 5870, I will be getting my memory, Win 7 OS, and 25.5 inch LCD next in 2 weeks, I will be getting my Video card last so it should be done by the first week of Dec.

Wow slotted, the build is looking GREAT! I recently built a system in a 902 case, but now I'm wondering if I should have held out and gone for the 1200?! I'm especially loving the fan controller.

Hard luck about the RAM, but in all reality you probably won't notice the difference between 2000MHz and 1600MHz anyway.

Hopefully it's all smooth sailing for you from here on in!
