Right pik4chu... If I were using my own system on this, I would drop a fresh image down, then install deepfreeze on this new installation... Anything infecting me would have nothing but windows to roam around on more or less - no really important information it could harvest, and after I rebooted it'd be ready to finish installing apps and all like it was good as new.
Right now, I'm leaning towards the side of everything being equal still... With the contingency that if I think any part of your infection was hoaxed it will be thrown out.
The problem comes in with assigning point values... I don't see assigning points with almost random value ratios to each sort of spyware component better than everything just being worth equal value. In order to do a good job assigning points correctly, we would need to recognize some average trends in results produced, then award points in a ratio which reflected the different severity's and difficulty to get between processes, files, reg keys... Bottom line, if we did points, it would be half-assed and inaccurate still.
Better to just keep it simple as possible, and watch for hoaxing attempts to pump up results - netsky would be a good thing to get, but manipulating your directory structure to make the infection appear worse than it is will not get you anywhere. Legitimate infections.
