With the 2209WA going bye-bye after I got the money to be able to purchase the thing, I have made a decision to just go for the 1080p monitors, I can use with a BluRay player I was recently given.

My day-to-day consists of the following:
-Gaming (CoD4, CSS, Fallout 3, etc.)
-Photoshop
-Sony Vegas
(I figured the LG would be the prime choice since they produce panels for Dell, but figured I'd post here and ask others)

I am looking for which would give me the best image quality for the pricing. I want to stay around the $200 mark here. I am also looking for more around a 24" monitor, that 23" LG would be fine of course as it's not off by much.

Other suggestions are welcome, but the price range still stands, as well as the wanting for 1080.

IMO, not even a decision Asus is the clear winner. :)

*I'm heavily biased against all Legendary Garbage (LG) products, cuz from my experience nothing has ever come good of them.

I got my self a nice Samsung P2250 or something, its a nice screen (simular price too). But its not on newegg = (.

You did know that Samsung and LG buy panels from each other? So technically its very possible your Samsung monitor is using an LG panel..

Its also possible that the LG LCD the OP posted is in fact using a Samsung panel..

Yea I saw the charts showing how much each company outsources their panels. Pretty ridiculous.

Buuut back to an appropriate panel for me :)

Lol I wouldn't doubt that, but still in the end, ever LG item ive ever owned has failed misereably as for I still have working samsung stuff that's ancient.

Oh and OP, maybe take a look at some acers. They might have some good ones, but still I like asus alot too.

^^ its 1920x1080 and only 179$.

cheap, also take a look at reviews, they can often be very helpful.

I've been looking around, and the reason I was avoiding Acer was due to having previously owned a few, from 17" to 19" and they all have a somewhat washed out color compared to a decent HP or SAMSUNG.

I was looking at guides and quite a few forums and from the looks of it people are saying the LG has a somewhat washed out color, wherein the ASUS looks much better, quality color-wise.

The Ultra series panels are usually very good and better than what I have.. Should research them before you make a decision.

This one is on sale,

I'm just worried about picture quality on the 3(including this one) that I listed. That is my main wanting. I looked at the UltraSharps @ 24" and they are a bit out of my price range starting around $400+.

mmk well I think I'm set on grabbing the ASUS. Anyone think it would matter the 2ms vs 5ms version of the VH242H and VH246H?? Only difference is one has the 2ms and the other has 5ms.

When playing FPS's online, I am twitchy when it comes to aiming, I tend to snap to people. Ghosting on the monitor I will not appreciate :P
