Trouble with dual monitors.

Ok, I'm trying to hook up a Dell P1230 and an E248WFP. Here's my problem:

The system seems to boot up fine, both monitors show the same picture except for a slight delay on the second. I read that the second monitor should remain blank, is this true?

About 1-2min after logging into Windows, both monitors go black, flicker back to the desktop momentarily, then the system BSODs.

Any ideas?

does that to me on my old dell 1100, but not on my new custom rig, so it may just be something dell does....

back to my old dell again, i had the same issues, all i did to fix this issue was update my drivers, and that seemed to fix it, so try that?
