View Full Version : 1 Hi Def or 2 Smaller def?
So, I will be getting a new monitor this christmas, and I need to decide If I should get a single high def (1080p, 21.5'') monitor, or 2 smaller monitors (1440x900 or something like that).
So basically 1 large monitor or 2 smaller monitors. DVI obviously, what to get?
21.5 inch:

And the 2 smaller ones are yet to be picked.

well, just remember any fullscreen app will be limeted to one an you must ALT TAB or somthing to get at the other...
I do two screens just so i can watch tv, temps, IM's or anything else while im gaming, switching can be tricky sometimes though.
Yeh, I have experience with dual monitors, but my current 17 inch is old (LCD). It needs an upgrade, but like I said, I don't know what option to go with.

Depending on the room, get the 21.5 inch for now and put it another later, but if you lack the room then get the 2x smaller ones. Either way the end suggestion is the same... Dual monitors ftw! :p. You could indeed do one of each, I use a 22 and a 16 lol. use the 16 for rendering previews, music, msn, monitoring software etc, and its fine, and the larger one for gaming and all else. Suits me fine, Naturally having 2 of the same size is better but thats entirely up to personal needs.
