Just finished a build for one of my friends and everything was working fine, but as soon as windows xp 64 bit started up the monitor turned black and said input not detected. It's an Acer monitor connected by a VGA cable. The bios displays fine and so does windows boot screen, but right after that it has the problem. Video is onboard from this mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131376 . I've tried using a different monitor with VGA and it says the same thing. I'm wondering if I should get a DVI cable or if I should just buy a cheap video card. What do you guys think?

It might be going to a setting the monitor can't handle, does Safe Mode work? You could try dropping all the settings down then restarting normally.

If you have an extra card laying around, you could always try it.
