My first thought is to go with dell since Ive had a 22" 2005FPW and it hasn't failed me yet, but i want a larger screen. Was thinkin this (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Monitors/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-6272)one

Anyone really happy with a 24" they have out there?

This is what I have. Its a S-IPS panel and the colors look absolutely gorgeous. TN Panels give me eye strain after a while and I do AUTOCAD / rendering work for a living so I thought I would treat myself:

Got it on ebay for $500 shipped. Worth every penny IMO.

I didn't think I would notice that much of a difference upgrading from my DELL 24" Ultrasharp (very good monitor in its own right - PVA panel) but it was night and day. You wont regret it if you have $500 to splurge and you spend a lot of time on the computer.

so i finally got my 2408 and I gotta say im glad i purchased it. After testing it out on a few games, i find it hard to notice any lag issues with it so im pretty pleased.

I am having one issue though (and im not sure it really matters..but)...i now have 2 monitors plugged in, my old 20 and the new one. When i configure them, windows always recognizes my new one as #2 instead of #1. Ive switched the dvi cords around, unplugged my 20 and restarted, etc, but i cant seem to make my 24 the #1. It is running as the primary, but how can i change this? any thoughts?

Red, where are you trying to configure this? Your Best bet is through your video card drivers, and not windows. Shoot me a PM or IM if you need help.

well im just using like nvdia control panel and windows. im due for a fresh install of windows though, so i might reinstall with my 24 plugged in and then add my 20.
