After looking at monitors for awhile I got a Dell 2408WFP.
Just a couple of questions, do you have to install the drivers that come with the monitor? If so, why?
Thanks.

I think the drivers are mainly for being able to use the built in memory card reader and the usb hub. Depending on your OS though, they may get loaded anyway. Vista and Windows 7 both should find the drivers on Windows Update. I can't remember, but I think Windows XP does too, but don't quote me on it.
Congrats on the new toy. I've got dual 2407's and love em.

I didn't bother with the driver for my 2408. Win7 and Vista.

What settings do you use?
I'm using the "game" setting.
Looks great.

No modes. Custom settings, and external hardware calibration. Blu-ray looks great.

Are they worth it?
I've been looking at some of those new DELL monitors.

I got mine "on sale". Imo, yes. After about a month of looking around at monitors I decided on this one.

"external hardware calibration"? What's that?
What are your settings, please?
Edit: nm, I found where you posted before.
R: 95
G: 89
B: 92
Brightness: 50
Contrast: 63
The calibration software helps you tune contrast as well.
