I was browsing the internet and my monitor went weird.

It just went brownish looking, a brown tingle all across the screen.

My GFX card has two slots a VGA and a DVI, i have a monitor and a tv connected, I switched the cables over so the monitor uses the VGA slot.. and if i put this monitor on another pc it still does same thing so it's something to do with the monitor.

Is there anyway i can fix? I don't want to have to fork out loads...

My monitor seems to do the same thing. It flickers between the brown tinge and normal, sometimes staying brown/yellowy

sounds like your cables arent connected tight and are wiggling loose.

Can you use a different VGA cable for the monitor, or is it an older monitor with a built-in cable? It could be some damaged wires in the VGA cable, I've had that happen on several monitors in my past possession. Try jiggling the VGA cable near each connector end and see if the coloring improves.

aja, yeah mine been like it for like 30 hours now, but right now.. i just got home and it's fine.

Just spoke with LG on the phone and he told me to go into menu and reset it to factory defaults, i did that and he said if it isn't ok for a week then call back and get it booked in for a repair/replacement.

DragoXT, I'm not that stupid obviously i checked if they were in and removed/put them back in several times.

benbaked, I have tried different cables it was a constant brown tinge, couldn't play half my games and watching films was hard, i swapped default screen to my other monitor for a while.

Yeah I reset the OSD thing and tried different cables, too. It has 2 vga inputs and one DVI, all cause the same thing to happen, even on laptop or other computers.

Havent been using it much right now, will see if the reset thing worked.

Hope yours keeps working!

For the record, mine is a Packard Bell Maestro 22'' LCD
