Higher res with no drivers?

I'm currently going back a driver because the 8.12's were a massive FAIL so im going back to the 8.11's.... but when iv uninstalled them my monitor can do 1920x1440 but when i have the driver installed the max is 1920x1200....

can anyone shed some light on this...?

ok i have sussed it... all by myself!!

Driver default is 1920 x 1200, so when i uninstalled the driver it went higher, but now since i have the driver installed, in order to go higher than 1920 x 1200, i need to untick the box in the monitor tab to show all monitor options, allowing me to go to 1920 x 1440 or even 2048 x 1536...
