Hey,

I am currently running an 8800GT and Fatal1ty Extreme Gamer sound card.

I have just purchased a DVI-HDMI cable to hook my pc upto my 32" Samsung HD TV. I am wondering if their is anyway to get sound?

On the box of my 8800GT it says for connectors - DVI-I + DVI-I + HDTV-out.

HDTV out seems to be just a S-VIDEO out port? I could of used this and would have had sound and video, but I wanted to use HDMI for the quality.

Any ideas? I hear that ATI sound cards carry sound through DVI? :S

Regards,
Hunter

I'm not sure about your Nvidia card, but yes, my ATI 3870 carries audio through the DVI-I port. I currently have it connected to the HDMI port on my monitor using a DVI-I to HDMI adapter that that came with the card and the monitor's speakers are playing the computer's audio.
