Hello all,

I am looking to do some video capture with my Xbox 360 and am looking for a solution. I know a video capture card is the way to go but I'm having trouble finding one and I need some help. I don't care if there is an external solution either. I don't need it to be that good quality picture, I just want the hardware itself to be quality so it doesn't die or something like that. I guess as long as it works I'm happy. I would also really not like to spend more than $60.

Thanks for the help.

maybe im not understanding this fully.

but as far as i know, they dont make capture cards for consol systems. so you would need a PC. If they do make something for the xbox360, im sure it is going to be a USB type and will deffintly cost more than $60, but..

if you can hook up a USB tuner card to the xbox, im wodering if the Xbox could install drivers for it and if you can somehow load the tuner software to make it work? or if the xbox media software would be able to use the tuner card????

anyways, i think a USB type is your only option unless your using a PC.

Haha, yea I was meaning a solution for my pc. I need a card or usb capture device that connects the Xbox to my PC so I can do video capturing. I'm just looking for suggestions for a quality product. All the one's I've seen people have complained about as being very sub-par.

I understand what your looking for. Lots of people do this to cap montages and clan matches in case of disputes.

I am no expert, but you have 2 basic options. If you have camcorder, that is your best option for good quality - split the output from your xbox and send one output to the tv, and the other to the camcorder. Press record on the camcorder and it will capture whatever is being sent to the TV. Quality will be whatever the camcorder supports.

The other option is using a capture device like a dazzle. Send the output from the xbox to the dazzle which connects to your PC by USB, and has its own output for the TV. It will cost about 50 bucks and quality is ok for youtube. There is nothing wrong with a dazzle, except you get the video quality you should expect from a $50 product.

Search for dazzle xbox360 on youtube. I'm at work so youtube is blocked, but this was listed as the top result on google:
