Does any one of some software or a plugin that would allow a browser like firefox or opera to run in full screen mode on 2 monitors? The browser can stretch across both but once you hit full screen it snaps back to the primary?

Open second instance (New Window) of Firefox and move it over to second monitor then you have browser open in both monitors

I have ultramon installed, what setting is it under?

Maybe I'm not doing this right, but when I move it over to the second monitor it just moved that window. I can open 2 instanced of FireFox but there doesn't seem to be a way to merge them?

if you have ultramon installed, either right click on the task bar and click 'maximise to desktop' or on the very top right of the screen, next to the clock and minimise buttons, press the button with the two arrow heads pointing away.
either button will then stretch whatever window you have open over your two screens.

As I mentioned I can stretch it across 2 monitors but the second I full screen (F11) it jumps back to the first monitor?

If you have the browser covering both monitors fully, then why are you clicking "full Screen"?
If you can't get the browser to cover the whole desktop, just drag the corners until it does.
Or, with uiltramon, open the browser full screen on one monitor and then click the arrow box in the upper right to expand to full screen on both monitors.
Or am I not understanding what you are trying to accomplish?

To get rid of the task bar, status bar, tabs, toolbars etc... just press F11 and see what it does. All I want to see on both monitors is the web page, nothing else.

Best thing I can think of is to uncheck the Nav and Bookmarks toolbars from the view menu.

Can't you just do horizontal spanning?

not sure it can be done - same kinda problem when trying to do full screen movie spanned across two screens......just doesn't work

horizontal spanning? What is that?
What I am trying to achieve is if I upload a 3360x1050 or taller graphic I would like to be able to display this full screen and be able to scroll up and down if taller, without anything else on the screen apart from that graphic.
I've been looking around and I really don't think this is doable which is pretty surprising, maybe the need for dual screen full screen just isn't here yet, not even dual screen movies...

Should be an option within the control panel in CCC.

I believe he has gotten horizontal spanning to work, however, when he sets his browser to full-screen, not just maximized, it jumps back to only one screen.

If you are spanning, it can't tell the difference between the monitors. It will work full screen...

Ok, here is a 3360x1050 graphic (http://www.loadingdeck.com/3360.jpg) that I uploaded for testing.
This is what happens when I maximize to desktop:
http://www.loadingdeck.com/3360-2.jpg
And this is what happens when I full screen (F11):

When I full screen (F11) I would like it to be displayed on both monitors, not just 1.

Let me try it when I get home...it shouldn't be doing that at all. I know that it has worked for me in the past.

Thanks appreciate it! Yeah I dunno, it does this with both Firefox and Opera.

It won't let me do anything but single mode, dual view and clone...it removed the option >.>
No idea why it won't.

ah no worries mate, it does seem like it should be an option... surely I am not the first person to want to do this, I'm hoping for a FF extension soon!

It is a Vista issue or nVidia issue. I have done this before in XP as seen in my picture that I took ;)

I deal with some large graphics, graphic designer n all so it would be nice to view them full screen as I can't do this with either Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

FX? I've always used FF... google search for 'Firefox fx' yields 5.8million, 'Firefox FF' yields 7million... I win! :p
Looking at the picture you linked doesn't that show the top and bottom of the browser? Now actually full screen?

lol, I never knew it was abbreviated like that. Who on earth thought that up? FF makes a lot more sense.
That is a pretty sweet setup there.

I can't do it on xp with firefox and my 2 24" screens. I'm pretty sure it's a firefox issue.

It's not just Firefox... Opera, IE... they all maximize to desktop but will not full screen on both monitors.

Yeah, by that I meant it's a program issue and not an OS issue.
