small lcd wont display in color

i have been trying to hook up this 7 inch lcd to the tv out on gfx card but no matter what setting i try i get black and white. the nvidia help said to change the display out to ntsc, the way they do it is nothing like the software i have and according to the nvidia control panel it is already in ntsc.:bang head the screen is from a dvd player car kit and has svideo with 2 extra pins (power) and rca jacks. i have already tried some adapters i had but it is always shows up in b&W. any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure your video out is outputting SVIDEO and not Composite video. Many will output Composite through the SVIDEO plug, and you will get a B&W picture. Make sure the output is set to SVIDEO.

when i set it to svideo it shows my background on the lcd in color although it is still kind of scrambled. it is only shown while my main monitor refreshes from the preview mode. if i continue and apply i still get nothing.

edit: when i try to change the signal output it has a drop down box but it only has auto because "no device could be detected"
