Well, for a "gaming" monitor you are looking for a low response time, in your case the stated 5ms is fine BUT you should read as many reviews as you can.
From the specs the Samsung looks mighty good but you should read reviews to find out if it has any problems and etc.

I have a 23" LCD monitor that I bought over 5 years ago with a response time of 50ms. I've been using it all this time for gaming and in my experience your video card, by far, plays the biggest role in your computer's ability to showcase gaming. Maybe the type of game you play will make a difference, I've played America's Army and UT3 as FPS's, as well as EQ2 and WoW.
Currently, Samsung makes the best 30" on the market, I would hope this quality extends throughout the rest of their lines.
