My desk as of this moment (moved the fridge under the bed, and swapped out the 2.1 speakers for my older 4.1 speakers, the 2.1 was having issues with volume control >.<):

I'll chime in, especially since i'm looking for some ideas on how to setup these damned lcd's. Recently nabbed another 20" wide, and its really kind of too wide of a desktop now imo. Run a 24" wide and 20" normal at work, and seems better than what i've gotten myself into at home lol
Pardon the mess, just setup the pc again 2 weeks ago and keep pulling it out making changes to things.

Doomshank- Odd setup, is the TV in the background part of it?
Zoob - that's a cool setup, what is that, a 24-30" center and two portrait 17"?
As for mine, at home it's just a clean 24" setup, but at work I have an interesting one. Laptops are LCDs after all, as is the viewfinder on the Canon XH-A1 ;) The analog input of the Samsung goes to the VAIO, the DVI goes to the Macbook Pro, so I use input selects as a ghetto KVM switch type of thing.

zoob great set up, this thread is giving me ideas....
The side monitors are Dell 2007FP 20", and the middle is a Dell 3007WFP 30".
The right side 20" is hooked up to my laptop since I only have two DVI outputs on my main PC. I still need to find a cheapo PCI-E card for the third monitor :)

For now, that TV is NOT part of it because it doesn't even have an S-Video input ><
In a little while I intend to get a new TV so then it will be part of it all =D
Haha, the angle of the pic makes it look like it's part of the setup, but not that I look closer I realize the TV is like 10' back :) So how is the upper monitor sort of floating there, most wallmounts I've seen are more or less flush against the wall.
P.S. I notice the Glenview location, I grew up in Skokie ;)

heres my previous old 17' nec
God i love zoobs setup. I would kill for that. Love the idea of having the monitor turned on its side like it can so you can view a whole page instead of half of one...awesome. I will post mine later. Just a couple 20'ers so nothing special. Need to clean my desk up a little bit though...

3.99 shipped... only prob its not dual dvi, as the optimal way to go bout things would be to run ur side monitors off 1 card, and your main center of your best card.
NOICE setup tho... always have loved a tripple monitor layout with a center wide screen, and 2 smaller widescreens tilted on their sides.

I'll get a picture of it sooner or later but my desk is a loft bed so there's these mattress support bars that I hooked the monitor stand into and yeah...it's WITCHCRAFT! And that green/blue plain cloth inbetween the desk and the tv is my couch :)
So there is a bit of space between there.
Edit: Zoob, what type of clock is that in the upper right-hand corner of that picture? I've seen one somewhere but the name of it escapes me.
LED Binary Clock (http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/lights/59e0/) -- Looking at the page, I see they've released a newer version. Gah!!! Maybe I should just mod it and put my own dimmer on it :)
Thanks for the compliments guys! It was fun to finally get my desired setup.

you guys ever feel that 24+ is a bit too big? I run a 24 wide, and a 20 dual setup at work..and i feel like i rarely actually maximize things other than visio or pure code/dev work...normal home type stuff it just seems to much. Gaming is a diff ballgame :D
It's for having more than one thing open at a time :)

well obviously, and i use my dual setups at work and home for that. Im just saying that with larger and larger screens, eventually it felt like i was turning my head soo far as to a point i wouldnt put much at the extreme edges of each screen.
Just saying i think theres a happy medium somewhere in there. Watching movies/tv and playing games takes on a completely different stance though.

Oh man thats so cool D:
Would it be possible to have an LCD setup where on one screen I'm playing a game like say Civilization 4 and on the other screen I'm surfing the web? All on one computer?

Aye, especially with WoW. Most other games you'll still have to TAB out of, but some support just moving the cursor from one screen to the other. I keep all my IM's, music and a few other tidbits on the 2nd screen while gaming :D

Heres what I was running about a year ago, now running just the single 24 since I couldn't take all 3 with me!
I'm gonna sell my 24 when I get back and do exactly what zoob did though!
Yeah, the spaghetti is bad...the glass desk doesn't help, but it was free....maybe I'll get a better one later
