Alright, I have a 15.4 inch laptop but also have a 22 inch television. I'm thinking that I could connect the TV to the laptop since both my laptop and TV have a monitor plug-in/port. I tried it, and it works, but the TV is extremely fuzzy. It doesn't display crystal clear on any resolution. Is there something else I need to do?

Thanks

Matt

If the tv is widescreen, it should be 1366x768, if its square then its just 1024x768 (ED, pfff, no wonder they gave "Enhanced Definition" an ironic acronym), if it's still fuzzy there's two different reasons why: 1. the tv just cant do it b/c it doesn't want to (aka: no given reason for the fuzzyness), or 2. either the port, cable or something on the laptop side is a bit off.

It won't be crystal clear on a TV. TV's are designed for constantly moving pictures, not the high detail you can achieve on a monitor. Watch a film from your computer (preferably displaying on the monitor at the same time), compare. If there's plenty of action it won't look so bad, but try reading a word document, and yeah right!

How well a PC is displayed on a TV depends on the TV. Two people I know had bought two identical PCs, two identical plasma TVs, and one is fuzzier than the other.
If the TV you have is an LCD, you need to set the resolution to the TVs recommended setting according to what's stated in the owners manual.
It won't be as sharp as a dedicated PC LCD.

Good luck!
