I have an older laptop - Tangent Shuttle 6700 1.6ghz
Last night I got mad at it and ripped all the boards out of the case as the case and LCD screen had both cracked.
I now have a laptop, but with no case.
I plan on making a wooden coffee table with the laptop built inside it, and I have a wireless USB mouse and keyboard to link to it.
The notebook mobo has a video out. I plan on hooking this into a LCD screen placed in my coffee table with a glass panel above it for protection.
I need to know what kind of LCD would work well for this.

I need a VGA LCD monitor that can easily removed from it's housing, mounted, and is as cheap as possible. Any ideas?

Same here, check e-bay or newegg for open box LCDs.
I bought my Viewsonic Q9 19" LCD for $150 as an open box at newegg.
