DVI/HDMI st00pid question

Quick probably stupid question...

The description makes it seem like its backwards to what i want... But since everything I have heard of is DVI to hDMI.. (which is what I want.. DVI to TV) would this cable work? I want something local so I can get the cable tomorrow :) I just bought a broken LCD tv on ebay and its here.. I thought I had some ATI to component adapters but I cant find any, and compsoite/svideo wont give me the res i need to test out this tv ...

(26" LCD with broken sound 200 shipped w00t.. I am building it into a furniture mod i am working on with an onkyo HT system..will post pics when I am done :) )

I went to Wally world and they did not have it in stock. they had a spot on the shelf for it at 30 dolalrs!!!!

So i grabbed one from best buy for 65 (omfg!) to tide me over till i get mine in from monoprice. Going to use the 65 on a keyboard or mouse instead so BB still gets my money for the loaner ;)

One thing I noticed though is that the picture was kinda crappy. Seemed to be okay running coax to the TV, is this a PC configuration issue... a cable issue... or a problem with the TV?
