i'm just wondering if 2ms is still as good as it gets for an lcd, or if there is something out (or coming out) that bests it. i'm leaning toward buying a 226bw to replace my l90d+ and can't seem to find anything better.

hmm, this next gen tv might be the next big thing. it's not what i'm looking for, tomorrow, but i thought it interesting enough to toss the link in this thread. still looking for an answer to the original question, tho!

i couldn't get the video to play in ff, but worked in ie...
edit: it seems there's a new version of flash out, which might be why it didn't work in ff.

The 2ms Grey To Grey isnt a 100% true most of the time. You have to look at actual response times, reliable testing of good websites. There are also RTC errors, colour reproduction, harshness of text, bleeding, banding, viewing agles, actual contrast ratios...

Ghosting problems wont be solved by the advertised response times. There are a lot of websites that do very good tests & its worth to have a look, BeHardware & X-Bit Labs are jsut a few.

I'd be pretty surprised if 2ms was accurate, but that doesn't mean the display isn't good. Many good panels have incorrect (or at least not entirely accurate) specifications, but it's basically just part of shopping for displays. Look for some solid reviews like Sonny suggested. Also, for display needs in general, I found a lot of help at www.avsforum.com and I know a lot of members suggest it, and link to threads there to help people with A/V needs.

Before we get into OLED monitors we will most likely be seeing LED LCD monitors like the Samsung XL20 (http://www.behardware.com/articles/654-1/xl20-samsung-s-1rst-lcd-led.html).
