I dont follow displays much, but now and then hear about some great westinghouse? or some "tv" that works great as a monitor.....

i am looking for a replacement for my dell 20" as it is starting to have screen burn (one of the old models from some time ago)

so what is hot on the market these days, i was considering a 24" dell but if i have better options?

Gaming iwll occur, mainly CS:S and gothic 3 but most usage will be Inet and some work, office sweet, some photoshop stuff..

im aiming to get the Acer 24" LCD as my next display since a friend just bought one and it came out flawless. and for $349 a piece is a bargain.

I had 2 of the 24 inch dells, sent then back do to HUGE ghosting problems. Look around on the net for those problems, Mobious on these forums has the same problems, check oput his post. As for TVs as monitors, the sharp 1080p TVs look AMAZING, its what ill be getting after christmas.

For a long time the only real option was the Westinghouse sets...they started at 37". But Sharp started selling a 32" model back in the spring, and it's quickly won over the hears of gamers. The LC32GP1U, it has a gamer mode called "Viper drive" which is supposed to eliminate the lag common with many TVs. They also sell the LC32D62U which does without Viper drive, that's the one I bought and I love it. Click the link in my sig.
