So, my 7+ year old CRT (17" 1280x1024) is starting to darken drastically, which means after all these years I'm finally getting a new monitor. There are some rules to set up though.

Widescreen (16:9 or 10)
At least 1440x900
Low (<5ms) response time
Small, I don't have much space
<$250This shouldn't be too hard, there are plenty of monitors on Newegg and the like. There were a few I was looking at, they're this Samsung (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001094), this Asus (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236012), and this Dell (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-5629).

I'm sure you guys know of way better monitors than these, but they make a good average.

Anyone? I know you guys get asked this really often, but seeing as this is technically my first "upgrade" to a new monitor, I only know what the details mean, I don't know of people's experiences.

Just asking for a recommendation, not to build me a computer.

Samsung 206BW/216BW?
That 216 is on sale at Newegg. It might be too big, though.

Damnit >_<

How about this one?

LG L206WTY-BF (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005096)

I'm planning on picking one up this week, just need to sort out some details with another project for a family member first.
