Has anyone used one of these for a computer monitor? If so does it work well and what is everyone's opinions? It's 1920x1080 resolution and also has DVI-I input. Thinking about using one for a future HTPC build that will also be a gaming machine. Thanks for your input.

Are there any conserns I should have that I wouldn't need to worry about with a normal monitor? I've seen several people having problems with using LCD TV's for monitors like their video cards not displaying an image on the screen unless at low resolution, they stated using DVI to HDMI, is that what caused their problems? I know this tv has DVI-I input so if that's the case, it shouldn't be an issue. I just want to be sure that there won't be any major unforseen issues that were my fault for not catching them ahead of time.

Sharp Aquos LCD TV has banding issues on some unit. It is either vertical or horizontal banding. Just exchange the set if yours got one.
The black level of Sharp Aquos TV is top notch. I love this TV for the price.
yep top notch, though lcd pannels comming out within the next 2q's will have some nie fatures such as ultra high DCR(50k-100k)thanks to the led backlight, local dimming and 120hz standard :)

I nearly bought a 37" Aquos GP1. I played with one in a local store, and the picture on it is absolutely impressive, and the size is perfect for a computer monitor. I would have gotten it had I not found the Westinghouse for half the price. Otherwise, the Sharps are great. Not sure what you are waiting for.
Keep in mind though your normal viewing distance/angle. Since I simply use mine as a dedicated monitor, and some movies in my bedroom, I typically only sit 2.5 feet away from the screen. At that distance, the 37" is not overwhelmingly large, it is actually quite a perfect size. Games look wonderful, and are more entertaining, involving and much much more immersing. Bioshock, HL2, CS:S, TF2 all look amazing, and it brings you much deeper into the game.
Also, since I do sit so close my monitor, my Sony 55" Grand Wega in the livingroom (used for TV/consoles) now actually seems that much smaller by comparison.

There are plenty of people using this with HTPCs. Which model are you looking at? Check over at AVSForums for some really great info. I love my 32" computer monitor, check the link in my sig.

Both the 82U and 92U models of the 52" (as well as the 46" 1080p model, but I'm not sure if the 42", 37" or 32" 1080p models) are 120hz screens. The difference being the 82U is the older 10000:1 contrast screen (still 4ms response) and the 92U has the newer 15000:1 contrast screen (still 4ms response). Both are gorgeous TVs, I'm quite jealous actually (my Dell 2407WFP-HC is like a pile of dirt compared to that :p).
