I did some reading up on the upcoming display technologies SED and OLED and they look amazing. The technologies are really interesting and I thought it would make a good topic for discussion since they will probably be future replacements for LCD and Plasma. Anyway... If you haven't heard about SED or OLED I have some video links and explanations as to how they work. I personally can't wait to see how SED will be for gaming, but 3mm thick flexible OLED?!?!?!?! SWEET! Maybe I should have squeezed a few more years out of my CRT...

Laser-TV (http://www.oled-display.info)is also coming 2008. Novalux Lasers have a very impressive light output. Lasers may become an ideal replacement for the UHP lamps, which are currently in use in projection display devices such as rear projection TV and front projectors. Current televisions are capable of displaying only half of the visible spectrum of colors.
