Well, I've been given a 17" lcd monitor/tv basically because its faulty. The problem is that while in operation the screen flicks on and off, not rapidly but pretty steadily. I've striped the monitor down, and removed all of the daughter boards (inverter/tv tuner/controls) from the main circuit board and it still flicks on and off, I've even disconnected the lcd panel (I can still tell if it is flicking on and off as the power brick's led flicks in tandem with the panel) and it still does it. Have tried different power supplies, so it isn't that, so after all that I'm odds on its the main PCB, or the power circuit on the main PCB.
What I'm trying to find out is if anyone else has/has had things monitor with this problem or knows of anywhere to get information about it, (tried KISS website - no luck) or parts. Any help appriciated.
