View Full Version : Samsung 226BW vs 206BW
Im in the market for a lcd to replace my viewsonic G90fb (i guess im getting old but my eyes can't take it anymore) I've narrowed it down to these two unless theres something out there better for my needs and price range. As of now Its primarily going to be used for typing and web browsing then comes gaming and watching movies. I did a bit of searching and it seems that the 22" lcd's have a bad rep for some reason.
Both of these have the same resolution and response time but the 22" has better contrast and of course a bigger viewing area which would make reading at that resolution a little easier. Besides that, any cons on going with this 22" instead of the 20"?
Thanks.

Well, I just picked up the 226BW about two weeks ago from circuit city. Two Words...... "LOVE IT"
I do use it for gaming and it is absolutely amazing. It is super bright though.... turn it down to about 65 on brightness and you will be very pleased. I have accually converted a few of my friends (avid CRT guys) to LCD. This monitor is truely great.
I've read that there are two version of it (S and A, with the S being superior) with different panels and that has kind of scared me away from the 22". Do you know what version you have?
