View Full Version : 22inch LCD that does 1920 x 1200 reso.

Anyone know of a 22inch LCD that does 1920 x 1200 resolution?? I know most companys reserve that for there 24 inch monitors so they can jack the price up on those, but I also know its possible to have a 1920 x 1200 reso. on a 22inch monitor. I have a 20.1 inch Samsung that does 1600 x 1200 reso. (not 1680 x 1050 wich isnt as many pixels) so I know a monitor that is 2 inches bigger can do 1920 x 1200. All the 22in LCD's out now do a puny 1680 x 1050 wich is crap for that big of a screen. My monitor is way sharper because its tad more amouint of pixels on a smaller (but still big) picture.

I don't think it exists in 22 inch form. Might have to bite the bullet and get a 24 inch monitor.

my 15.4" laptop lcd is 1920 x 1200, so it's definatley possible hah.

Nope, all production 22" LCDs are using the TN panel @ 1680x1050 native.

not gunna find it, and if you do it will exceed the cost of a 24" monitor because its not mainstream. aka not worth it

I've yet to see one at that resol'n. You need 24" to get 1900.

Are they all sourced from the same panel manufacturer?

As far as I know, all are made by Chi Mei.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if the same is true for 24" 1920x1200 panels?

I think the smallest you will find with that resolution are the 23" panels. Kind of silly to get one though, since they are still priced higher than the 24" offerings that are now on sale due to the release of 27"ers.
