Anyone have ANY information on projectors?

This projector will be traveling with the top dogs in my company... for their presentations (powerpoint and whatnot).

We currently have a dinosaur, the Epson ELP-3000 (http://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-ELP-3000.htm)...

They're looking for something more compact, and hopefully it comes with (or I can purchase) a hard carrying case for air travel.

Please... need this ASAP so any information is more than what I know... I don't know anything about quality vs $$ with projectors.

And what's SVGA vs XGA vs SXGA etc (just resolution?)... how do I know which I need? I'll try to find out what the laptop supports, but the laptops are HP pentium4s (all I can remember)... If I can get something with higher quality that will allow us to upgrade, but is also backwards compatible, I would rather do that...

Check these guys out: Projector People (http://www.projectorpeople.com/)

They can help you find what you'll need in a projector. Another useful link there would be this one: Presentation Projector buyers guide (http://www.projectorpeople.com/resources/bp_buyersguide.asp)

They can also put together custom packages for you.

I'm actually looking here right now and doing comparisons:

any other opinions?

i can't decide between these...

Dell 1800MP
Dell 2400MP
Hitachi CP-X260W
Optoma EP719

I've spent a lot of time reading up on this stuff, and still not sure... =/

This is for traveling and presentations... looking to spend $800-1400 for my company.
