Bought a Viewsonic vx2035wm monitor, and I'm having a helluva time setting it at the native resolution (1680x1050). After installing all the drivers and plugging the monitor in, the largest the Display->Settings->Resolution goes is 1600x900.

In the Display->Settings->Advanced->Adapter->List all Modes I get the same response, only goes up to 1600x900.

I'm going to make a wild assumption that my graphics capabilities are just way too weak to run the necessary native resolution., but if there's a way to swing it w/o having to buy a new card I'm be all ears.

Windows XP Media Edition
2.8ghz
1gig Ram
Integrated Video Card (Intel 82945G Chipset)

If I do need a new card, yall have any suggestions? I don't game, my comp only has a 300wt power supply, and I've got 1 PCI-Express slot and 3 PCI slots available.

Yes, I'm a noob. Did some searching through the forums but couldn't find anyone brave enough to admit they were still using an integrated graphcis card.

1) Find updated onboard graphics drivers and see if the updates contain widescreen resolutions, otherwise forget about that idea...Only if there are updates.

2) Find a cheap pci-e card and use the latest drivers and that will most certainly give you the native resolution that you need.
