Here two new, and very NICE, HTPC cases.

First is the OrigenAD's new S21T (http://www.origenae.com/en/htpc_s21t.htm). it spot a 12.1" 1920x1080 touch screen in front of the case, could swallow up to 10 HDD, and use 90mm & 120mm fans for quietness!! yes, it's NOT a typo, a 12.1" 1920x1080 touch screen, and 10 HDD!!! for anyone who wanna build a ultimate monster HTPC, this case will sure do you fine!!! ;)

Second is the new Silverstone CW01-WD (http://www.xtremecomputing.co.uk/review.php?id=320&page=1) version!! it's just like the regular CW01, but will a built in window specially design for you to show off your shiny windowed Raptor drive!!

if you have to ask, you can't afford it!! :p

think the 7" version cost $599 (iirc), this one would easily cost a grand w/ a 12.1" touchscreen!!!

on the other hand, I don't think the CW01-WD would cost a lot more than the regular one tho. but again, think about a same model Silverstone case, with or without the VDF would means almost a $100 difference!! so.... how know how greedy those guys in Silverstone are....!!

I love origen AE's cases... they're perfect for a HTPC. I'm going to be purchasing one for sure when i get some money for a htpc build. Gotta get the TV first though :D

Hell with the touch screen. When they going to release that case without the money pit touch screen. You don't know how long I've been waiting for a HTPC case that is taller with a 120mm fan. It's a shame to see such a nice case get waisted on an expensive touch screen. Also It looks like a full length video card wouldn't fit without hitting in to the DVD drive. I'll be keeping an eye on this company to see what they come up with in the future. Until then I guess I'll just look forward to the Silverstone CW01 I have coming in the mail.

I doubt youll be getting many full length cards in many HTPC cases... They are designed to reside in either a component rack or neat your other gear, and depth and width are usually the constants. What changes is the height, which is why this is so tall (plus the touch screen). Personally i love how many drives it can hold, and its a great case. Pricey though...

Fitting full length cards in HTPC cases is totally doable. Just look at the Silverstone CW01. It can fit 5 hard drives and still have room to fit two full length video cards for SLI or Crossfire. We just need the case companies to start using the ol thinkers like silverstone did. Took them long enough, but at least they did it. That Origen case could easily be changed to fit all 10 hard drives and still have room for full length graphics cards. All they would have had to do is move the CD drive rack over to the same side as the power supply rather then slop it smack dab in the middle of the case where it conflicts with the graphics card slot. Sometimes I think computer case designers got all the engineer leftovers. Pretty dam rare we actually see case companies do something very smart or innovative. A silverstone here and a Lian-Li there and thats about it.
