I was wondering if there's someone out there that can help me figure out what's wrong with my PC->26" LG HDTV setup...?

Mrgreenjeans and I have been pm'ing each other several times by now, but not sure how fix my problem:

When hooking up to the tv with VGA (DVI at PC but DVI->VGA adapter at the tv), i can get up to 1366x768 resolution and everything looks very nice - much better colors/etc than my prev LCD monitor.

What I want to do though is try running at a higher res (like 1680x1050 or 1920x1080...or something). Problem is though that when using a HDMI->DVi cable it doesn't work...There's flickering in places; when using nVidia panel to resize the image it's still way to big even after moving the sliders all the way (either direction). Something else that i think is weird is that there is more of the image vertically that's not on the screen than there is horizontally.... Using Power Strip doesn't help, after pressing more than twice on the resize arrows, I lose picture (need to press ESC to get the image back).

Anyone have any clue as to why this is happening?? Am using the comp in my sig, and my TV is the LG 26LC2R HDTV...HDMI, VGA, Component and Svideo connection (NO Dvi). It's a 720p set with 1366x768 res. The only HDMI>DVi resolution that works is 1280x720 (or 760 i forget) - but that needs to be resized through NVidia panel first.

Should I just return this thing and get the Dell 24" LCD? ...This is annoying and frustrating.... Or does anyone have any clue as to what's wrong?

PS: Using 93.71 drivers.

if the screen you are using now is in fact a HDTV then no you cant run any higher then the 1366x768. though it would help if you could post the model hdtv you are using. the dell 24inch that alot of people keep suggesting that is not a hdtv does do the res. your want to use.
