Is my laptop dying ? (LCD screen)

I have this old Inspiron lappy which cost me an arm and a leg back in the days :) So this morning my brother starts it and after some time we notice some strange stuff going on screen.

It looks like the whole screen shifts like a 4-5 mm to the side in some jerky movement and than comes back to normal. It is not possible to read anything while it does so and it does this pretty often so it is kinda unusable right now.

Is the poor thing dying?

Might just be the screen is dying but i dont know for sure.

I would think it's the video card first. Did you try reinstalling the drivers?
