1. big crt monitor; used market is flooded; best displays ON EARTH, period.
2. projector: 480p ones are $500 easily, and 720p down towards $800

best of the small; best of the big; perfect setup, that i use myself; have 21" sony trinitron and infocus 4805 projector; in my mind it's just the best of all worlds; you get the really big screen for films, certain games etc.; and the great detailed monitor for PC work of course, and high-rez games (for my competitive FPS'ers especially) and any time you can't light control for you pj

IMHO, screw the middle ground; after a 92" screen, no 50-60 whatever is a "big screen" anymore; the price is right for both these types of displays, the crt monitor since everyone and their mother thinks LCD is the second coming, and the PJ since they are not heavily marketed or accepted

have monitor hooked up to vid card's vga out, and pj up to DVI, can't beat it, no way; will probably upgrade to 720p at some point; and the g520p monitor will go with me to the grave...........mine or it's, whatever comes first :)

go do it!

I still prefer 2 moniters, weather they be lcd or crt. It's just so much easier to have all that room right in front of you.

Yea I once played wow on my 110" projector in the basement. AMAZING

The only problem is having to lug everything downstairs. The Projector is ceiling mounted :)

IMHO 3 projectors on a matrox tripplehead2go would be the best set up for gaming. However for non gaming use a 1080p hdtv would be better.
