I'm looking for a 20" widescreen LCD in the sub-$300 range. I've been noticing a lot of differences in specs at this range. For example, some have 16.2 million colors, others 16.7 million, and others 16.7 million with dithering. Should I even be worrying too much about that?
I've found the Dell E207WFP (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-5123), which looks like a lot of monitor for the money. The reviews aren't exactly amazing, though.
What would be the best <$300 20" widescreen LCD that I can get?
Thanks.

The human eye can only distinguish about 7500 colors and that is a medical fact. The "millions" they advertise is nothing more than hyper advertising. Your eyes won't know the difference. See if you can look at the 20 inch widescreens physically at some of the stores and let your eyes do your shopping for you. Find what you like and check online for prices.
samsung 205bw is about 300.
i never used it but i've been advised on it.
if u dont mind refurbs, dell has the 2007wfp (better than 207wfp) for like $280 on their website in the refurb area. retail on them is $400
good luck
