People asked me to post an image of the monitor when I got it back in the day. I thought I would at least toss something up to give people who game an idea of the image quality of the monitor. This is playing WoW at 2560 x 1600. I truly enjoy it and recommend maybe asking for it for X-mas if your parents or loved ones are willing to drop some decent coin.
ps - That is a 20.1" monitor in the corner for your comparison.

How does WoW run in heavy battles with you GTXOC at that res? What settings are you running for AA/AF?
Man, I want it but I need $$$

jeebus, I love those comparison shots. it really shows what a beast the thing is. Id get one if i could use my 2405 & this without needing to get a second card.

why would you need a second card? I'm pretty sure you just need a dual link DVI cable and have a card that outputs dual DVI which I thought all newer cards did? Or are you running SLI?

I am NOT running SLI, though have the option in the future. I generally run these settings when I farm etc. On raids, I drop to 1900 x 1200 with full effects. I don't get any lag besides server-side or my own internet being a pain /shakes fist at ComCast.
A second card at this point is pretty much overkill. I have a friend running the 7950 ....we have about the same FPS and such. Any other questions feel free to shoot away!

My mistake. I assumed that dual link dvi meant that it had to use both dvi's to run the monitor. Now that i know I'm worng, Im thinking about picking one of these up. Suddenly the 2405 feels a bit small

That 24" is still really nice. My friend has one...if your pocket allows the extra spending I FULLY recommend the 30". I have never been so pleased with a monitor in my lifetime. It truly is as large as I would want a monitor to game on. I couldn't imagine playing on a 52" or something like that. I have played on a 52" low res LCD, and it was so so at best. At that point, the field of view is a little to large for the experience....even at 30" you begin to become overwhelmed with the screen size -- additionally, when playing at VERY high resolutions the mouse sensitivity needs to be turned WAY up to make smooth motions across such a huge pixel field.
