First off, hi all kinda new here. Onto my problem. I've had my Syncmaster 213t for almost 6 months now. 3 Weeks ago it started flickering on an off at random to the point to where it'll say "Signal Lost" or something along those lines. Which then i have to hammer the "Source" button to regain analog connection to my computer. Should i buy a dvi cable, or does this sound like a video card problem? Thanks in advance!

First of all, :welcome:

It could be a video card problem, hard to tell though. Do you have another computer you could hook it up to? Or another moniter you could try?

whoops should have put in more info lol.

ive tried the monitor on my laptop an it works ok no flickering that ive seen. ive tried installing the drivers for the monitor and updated video card drivers last night to see if it did anything, but to no avail. i've plugged in my old 15 inch hp f50 into my computer having problems, and the monitor runs just fine. ive tried running the syncmaster at the lowest possible settings (800x600 res, 60 hertz refresh rate, 16 bit color) and no luck with that either. current system specs...

6800 gt vid card
2.5 gigs of ram
vnf-3 250 mobo
550 watt psu (i think its 550 or may be 500 or 650 forgot >.<)
amd 64 2800+
nothing at all is overclocked...yet

thanks again in advanced!

*Edit* o yea thanks for teh welcome! =D

so your saying it only occurs with THAT moniter, and THAT computer?

Weird.

Try using the other port on your videocard.
