Broken/Cracked LCD screen

There is a laptop here with a fair size crack in it going throughout the screen. Is it still safe to use ? It has mercury in it doesn't it ? I can still see for the most part of whats o nthe screen. thanks for the info guys.

it is safe to use.. I have kids at the school that will keep their laptop for the entire year with a shattered screen.

The stuff inside is toxic, but as long as you dont see any strange liquid driping out it should be ok.

yeah it is leaking out the crak a bit, more of a "seaping".

yea, my lcd broke on my dell 600m lappy, no picture lol, just ordered a new screen off ebay! SXGA 1400 x 1050 baby!
